Hello and Welcome!

I am a home educating/schooling whatever you want to call it Mother of two wonderful children who inspire, bring joy and exasperate me all in equal measure. I am not a perfect mother who is? Nor will this be a blogland fairy tale where I let you into our wonderful, perfect lives. I am flawed as are all human beings, sometimes school goes better than my wildest dreams and we are really on a roll and sometimes well it goes haywire and I end up shouting, kids end up crying and all hell breaks loose.  That is life!

Our home-school philosophy is a Charlotte Mason/Waldorf/ Montessori inspired Mash up! We have
at one time or another tried to follow each of the above philosophies but could never commit to one exclusively. Some years we have used one methodology as out main spine, and the other two to supplement. However I feel that we have now reached a happy medium that works for us as a family.

As well as the above we use the All About Reading and All about Spelling programs,  this is due to the very detailed planned out lessons.

Well this about sums up my post on my new blog, I previously blogged at ‘The straight Path Homeschool’ I was very sporadic to say the least. Some of this was due to illness I have Fibromyalgia and all of the bonus features you get with that,I also have Bipolar, but some of it was just laziness!

Anyhoo, I have made a new intention to blog each week and to use this space for reflection as well as a record of our victories, disasters and well just life as it happens in the Raw!.
